EDI Global Project Manager
The Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Allegion customer projects utilizing EDI. This position is responsible for managing time, scope, cross-functional business and system changes to implement project objectives. Each project is customized and therefore unique, requiring the Project Manager to be flexible and comfortable working in situations as standards are developed. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who can independently manage multiple competing priorities, manage pressure to deliver projects ahead of scheduled while keeping the internal stakeholders abreast of all project milestones. The Project Manager must be an independent and confident decision maker that keeps projects on time by overcoming unforeseeable issues while assisting in standardization of processes and systems.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with cross functional team members from the business and IT.
Leads a cross-functional team including but not limited the EDI business and IT teams, business process owners, IT functions, and subject matter experts from Sales, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and other functions to establish project strategy, schedule, and resource needs.
Continuously tracks program/project activities, risks, and issues to ensure programs progress on schedule while meeting established requirements.
Works directly with the team when needed to drive issues to closure, and/or escalates issues and mitigation recommendations to management.
Identifies resources needed and works with appropriate managers in the assignment of individual responsibilities.
Resolves people and team dynamic issues for the effective performance of the project team in completing their assignments.
Manages intra-program dependencies, and their dependencies/impact with other programs and projects.
Develops program management roadmaps and capacity plans for executing a series of projects.
Participates in the UAT process as deemed appropriate by the project
Effectively applies standard work methodology and enforces project standards.
Documents all deviations from standard work practices
Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
Minimizes Allegion's exposure and risk on project.
Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Schedules and leads timely status review meetings, and formal project Reviews with Management.
Ability to travel up to 25%- 50%
Qualifications and Experience
PMP or other Project/Program Management Certifications preferred.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills at all levels within the organization
Tenacity in coordination of program team members to meet or exceed program timelines and outcomes.
Business acumen and experience in business trade-offs.
Proven problem-solving skills, techniques.
Self-starter with a desire to make a significant impact on business transformation.
Courage to raise issues to management when a program is at risk.
Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including project management software, Team Foundation Services, and Dynamics AX are a plus.
EDUCATION and/or WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, or related field
5+ years' experience in project and program management required.
