We have an exciting opportunity as a Production Supervisor. This role will be responsible for leading a diverse production operations team at the Reverse Osmosis Membranes (RO) Edina Site in the DuPont Water Solutions organization .
The role will report to each area's respective Operations Leader and be responsible for direct supervision, employee safety, morale, product quality, productivity, teaching, learning and mentorship of the assigned work team.
The Production Supervisor will support business KPIs and initiatives such as LEAN , cost controls, and daily continuous improvement activities.
Lead team to zero EH&S incidents and injuries through support of programs and site policies
Supervises and directs assigned manufacturing shift team(s) and assets (approximately 30-50 direct reports)
Provides support to their respective Operations Leader in meeting the department goals and objectives.
Participates in Incident Response Leader rotation and support incident reporting across Safety, Quality, and Reliability
Maintain staffing/Attendance: The Supervisor will be responsible to ensure that attendance expectations are met.
Approve Payroll: Completes timekeeping requirements for assigned hourly employees on daily/weekly basis with support of site Time Administration. Approves timecards by designated dates.
Develop and drive KPI performance in support of site and business strategy
Write & deliver recognition, progressive discipline, and performance reviews (in partnership with appropriate leaders)
Schedule equipment and shift personnel according to processes, production schedules and/or business decisions. Manage material flow throughout the department.
Collaborate with department LEAN Activities - 5S audits, VSM, etc.
Develop/train/coach/mentor employees using site and DuPont resources. Willing to explore external options for delivering new and creative concepts to the organization by way of enhancing development opportunities/internal candidate pools, succession planning, etc.
Prepares shift status reports for daily/weekly/monthly meetings
Advise on short & long-term department requirements, goals, and needs including headcount and productivity goals
Interface, coordinate, and network with other departments and business units/functions. Ensure utilization of resources across Plants continues and is being maximized in conjunction with activity coordinators.
Ensure training compliance, especially for the shift employees who are moving across departments.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
Regularly attend and participate in shift safety meetings
Attend relevant meetings and present on assigned/appropriate topics
Ensures employees are taking all breaks/meals within the required time period
Maintains employees' schedules, breaks, overtime, vacation, and other administrative requests with escalation to department Operations Leader as required
Walks, monitors, manufacturing floor and engages with personnel to ensure safety, housekeeping, quality, and productivity standards are maintained
Promotes teamwork and counsels' appropriate issues. Understands when to escalate.
Responsible to appropriately communicate both up and down the organization as needed.

Minimum of Associate Degree from an accredited Institution in Manufacturing Technology, Business, Engineering or similar field; 5 or more years of Supervisory experience preferred.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Institution in Manufacturing Technology, Business, Engineering or similar field with 1 or more years of Supervisory experience
Experience working in a discrete manufacturing facility, papermill, assembly line or the like.
